76 CJ7 Parts interchange

Hello all - I'm new to this forum but I have visited here in the past. I have a 76 CJ7 (AMC 304 /Auto)that was involved in an accident. The frame is bent and the tub is pretty messed up as well.

However, there are a lot of good parts on the 76 that are still usable. What I need to find out is what parts from the 76 will fit other years. I'm looking at buying either a CJ5 or CJ7 that's in fair shape - I'm really intersted in what other years the following parts will fit on other models :

Windsheild
Seats (new)
Full doors with glass
Hard top
Steering column
Dash
Tail gate

All of these parts are in pristine condition and I would like to use them on whatever model that I purchase - whether it be a CJ5 or a CJ7 .

Whatever I don't use on the new jeep, I will more than likely sell.

Everything you listed will work on any year CJ7 . You will have to remove the door strikers from your original tub if you use a newer tub.

The doors , and hardtop cant be used on a CJ5 . The windshield will work on Cj-5s 76 and newer. The tailgate will only fit 76 and newer and alot of Cj-5s had a tailgate delete option wich means theres no tailgate just a solid panel. If youd like to use everything your better off looking for a CJ7 . Of course if you find a nice CJ5 you could always sell off your extra parts.
