Good morning everyone.

Quick spring question, I've got a stock CJ with 6+1 springs front and rear and I'm guessing these are the heavy duty option best I can tell.

Got a rear driver side lean happening and am looking to freshen up all suspension components. So in hunting for other then the happy dollar Crown or OMIX stuff I came across General Spring that supposedly supplies all USA made springs and they have several options to choose from which has got me a bit puzzled, I'm thinking of getting a less heavy duty model... Any suggestions?

My jeep is mostly used on the beach and does occasionally bomb the unsuspecting mud hole.

Stay away form Crown and Omix-Nut'n but China junk!!
Have you checked to see if you have a broken spring leaf?

No I don't-I'm run re-arced OEM springs with add-a-leafs.
Call that link you gave, and see where they source those springs.

General spring sells great springs for great prices. We run 4 leaf 650 lb yj’s in the rear. And CJ5 leaf 785lb rears in the front. We always go as light as we can and then control the wheel hop. Last time i checked they get all of their springs domestically. According to their web site they still do. The springs we just got in are. Read carefully some springs come with bushings some dont.

Tinman22,
Does the ARC height need to be same front and rear?

installed height is what matters. The 4 leaf 650’s had more arch than the heavier fronts. This jeep sat level with a small block 350,sm465,Dana 300 . It seems to hve come up a bit with the 5.3. What driveline do you have and how much do you carry?

I would give them a call. Tell them what you have and that you want the lightest springs that came from the factory with your driveline. Or at least softer than wood blocks. We run light springs for ride quality. We dont tow or carry anything bigger than a cooler. My jeep dosent even have a spare tire. It does carry 2 propane tanks in the back and a 120# dog. It runs a 6” c/c shackle in the rear and a 3” c/c in the front. (Caused by the shackle reversal).

I’ll call’em in the AM.
Thanks for the help.
