Hey everybody,
I am looking to do a full suspension install with a 2.5 inch lift, once a couple more feet of snow melt this spring.
Right now, I am inclined toward the BDS products (unless someone can make a better case for someone else), as I have heard pretty much nothing but good things about them, and they aren't obscenely priced. What I am debating is whether or not to do a YJ conversion, or whether to just to a regular CJ upgrade with 2.5 lift.
I think that the rough price difference is about $4-500 bucks. Now that isn't a crazy about of money, but I could certainly find better ways to spend it (4bbl carb, cam, headers to name a few). What I need to know is if the YJ conversion is really worth it, or if I would be pretty happy with the regular lift.
My Jeep won't be seeing a lot of hard off-roading, rock crawling etc, (maybe some sand and fire roads) so off-road performance is secondary to on-road manners.
I know this type of topic gets debated to death and people may be sick of it, (and I know people are generally partial to what they got) so i appreciate everyone's patience and help! Educate me please!
