I would go with a Dana 300 instead of the 205 I believe it's shorter and has a better gear ratio in low.

If you go SOA plan on spending big bucks to do it right, or you will have bad steering problems.

And last either have a fat wallet or good fab skills.
Good luck with your project, keep us posted as you go.:chug:

Welcome looks like for the price of a case of beer you bought yourself a

project.I'm not much help on the drive train part but after that I might have some cheap advice.Good Luck:chug:

thank you everyone for the input i will keep everyone posted along the way

dune running? Keep it low and the spring under will eliminate wheel hop that you will get with spring over. Go with shorter/wide tires for floatation. Your driveline will thank you.

Did you get paper work?
oh look wiring is intact:rolleyes:
good luck and I agree about the Dunes, low and no spring over, to much spring movement going on. You Can easily bend springs that way
besides that, looks like you have a year of mechanical fun to go through.
congrats

yes sir on the paper work. Ok so no soa but how much lift to run 33s with no rubbing or cutting

4 in. Dont bother with 2.5 in. lifts if its gonna be higher speed. You want total clearance, nothing rubbing. You can get away with it at low speed rock crawling but cutting a tire at higher speeds has the potential to wreak havok. You'll really benefit by taking some measurements to find the full travel of your yet undetermined suspension. :D Thats the hard part.
