84 cj power steering box

Hey new to forum. Just digging into some steering play and found i have slop in the steering box. about 6 inches turn of wheel before pitman arm moves. also small fluid leak at lower end of pitman arm shaft. I can get rebuild kit cheap. How big a mess to rebuild the box. Does anyone have some sugestions or just go buy a fully rebuilt unit. I have tried adjusting with the top hex nut about 1/4 but not much change.

Whoa that's a bunch. I'm thinking a junkyard. I used to get them for $25. Probably more now. I picked a new AGR for $100 on eBay. Looked for several months but I like it. Just the right one for my CJ.

Just might be some other joint slop too.
