85 CJ7 with 2" lift power steering shaft too short

Just lifted the body 2" and now the power steering shaft does fit right into the coupler. Going on a trip tomorrow and hoping for an idea to correct it

There are 2 plastic pins in the shaft. If you drill (or melt) them out, then you will be able to extend the shaft some.
Have you already addressed the clutch linkage, Transmission shifter, and Transfer Case shifter?

- '85 CJ-7, 258/4.2L 6cyl. Bought new in 1985. Full cage, Warn 8274 winch, Ford 9" rear, front/rear Detroit Lockers w/4:88 R&P. T-5 tranny and 4:1 t'case. 33X12.50-15 BFG/AT, MSD ign, on board air---
Don't forget the radiator's position, and fuel tank filler lines either.

- 85 CJ7 4.2, t-5, twin sticked D300, flat fenders, spartan locker and revolution 1 piece axled amc20, 1 ton flipped over knuckle steering d30 with spartan locker, 4” suspension lift, 3” body lift, 35” Dunlop mud terrains, smittybuilt winch, warn winch plate, stubby front bumper, heavy duty rear bumper.
Take a torch to the shaftnto melt the plastic and stretch it out. Please wear a respirator or do it outside.
