My calipers were disassembled when I got my Jeep. Reassembling them now with new pads and see that there are two different size pads. I looked through my Chiltons and my other guide and I don't see any thing listed that states which size pad goes where.

Or any best tips for the darn anti rattle clips? These are the 82-86 style without the slides, just the Chinese finger cuff clips. They just want to keep popping out

IIRC-The thicker is inboard.
I strongly suggest you take those pads and go to NAPA, and see if you have the correct pads.

I didn’t realize one of the parts boxes I got out of the storage locker had brand new pads, so I ordered some new ones and those are exactly the same. No markings, but two different sizes

Smaller pad goes on the inside. And let’s say it wasn’t rocket science to figure out either lol. Thanks for the assist for the late night challenged thinker.

In case you're looking for any more of those little clips, check Rockauto.com they have a lot of parts for Jeeps. I just saw all those parts for my Jeep on there.
