Aftermarket hard door seal issues

I recently rebuilt my hard doors for my Scrambler rebuild project and I have an issue with the outer door seal. I think they may be too thick or stiff. When I close my doors on both sides the bottom corners push out and I can barely get the latch to do the 2nd click. It is not too noticeable to because I have Poison Spyder armor but it is driving me crazy and I cant get the passenger door to fully latch at all. I am considering trimming out some of the material to get the remaining seal to compress enough so they will shut all the way.




Has anyone bought aftermarket seals and had this issue?

Haven't had this issue - yet, but probably will in a bit -

I would have some OEM AMC passenger door seals and willing to part,
if needed...

I am not ready to give up yet before I buy OEM. I may have to try and cut one side down and see if it helps.

Have you tried using heat to relax the seals ?
