When I pulled the air conditioner compressor this week, I removed the alternator from its position just above the oil filter on my AMC 304 . Too much water and muddy splashes in that position.
Now while the two pieces of the mounting bracket cure with the caliper paint over the new-cleaned metal, I'd like to get my head and my hardware together to put the alternator ABOVE the heater hose where it exits the water pump. Trouble is, I don't know how the bracket goes in that position.
Can some kind soul post a photo of the alternator at engine top, just right of the dizzy in an AMC 304 ? I'll light a candle for you the next time I attend mass at Our Lady of the Oyster Po'Boy.
