1981 Jeep CJ7. Owned for 13 years and finally started a frame off restore a few months ago. Building an AMC 360 power plant. Harvested a 727 Trans, 229 TC and Dana 44 front & AMC/Dana 20 rear end from a 1984 Grand Waggy.
I bought the aluminum tub for my CJ7 rebuild. My question is, for those of you who have the aluminum tub w/ steel fenders, brackets, parts, etc, attached to it, is there any problem with the metals reacting? I know with some steels and aluminums there can be a reaction between the 2 if they are attached together. Thanks

Lots of the areas on mine used rubber strips.

Poly body mounts etc.

Most direct contacts are painted to aluminum.

Other areas where I didn't show nothing after 5 years.

Fenders are aluminum. Radiator cowl isn't.

Let's see some pics (please)

Thanks 73CJ. I just placed the tub on today to see how everything is going to line up. I'll get some pics up soon.
