Installed a new power steering pump on my 360 in my CJ5 awhile ago and it's leaking like a sieve at the connection of the high pressure line to the pump. I read on another forum it may be the wrong style fitting between the pump and hard line. Some were flared and some had an o ring. I'm guessing this is the oring style? Any help would be appreciated.

Yep, two different connections. One O-Ring and one flare. You need to figure out which one you need to change. Unfortunately, the best way is to obtain the correct hose. In a pinch you can always have an adapter hose custom made.

Actually, now that I look more closely, is the fitting actually tightening up or bottoming out? That is not an O-Ring connection and looks like a flare to flare but not sure if they are the same flare angle. It looks like the flare is not tightening.

Grrr... Well, I spent hours looking at this and I'm going back again. Its a flare vs O-Ring.

Its so hard to tell by the pics without knowing which is which...

I’m working on a power steering conversion on my ‘69 Bronco right now. Same GM Saginaw pump. When searching for hoses, I ran across the thread below and it was helpful.
