Autonomous driving if for the most ignorant of drivers who have no business being on the road in the first place. Take an Efffing BUS!!
 
Self driving cars if they ever get there, Would be a good thing. There are a boat load of bad drivers out there on our roads.

That seems to be the norm and problem with this society today, if someone is incapable of whatever, let's not retrain, teach, educate, lets pamper and do for them. This will will have to be an extreme agree to disagree lol.
Plenty of options today, taxi, uber, lyft, bus, transit, ride share, call a friend, etc
You get too dependent on technology, when it fails and always does at some point, you become more of a burden on society than your worth. The boat load of bad drivers will probably never afford such a vehicle should they ever become a reality, autonomous vehicles should have to run on some kind of separate rail system like old trolley cars.
 
I agree with you. Your tax dollars at work paying for taxi, ubb, lift, bus, transit and ride share for all your buddies riding free on you. :chug:
 
I guess you haven't driven across Wyoming, Arizona, Texas, Montana, Nebraska or any number of western states lately. You drive along eight mile stretches of straight road to a rise in the terrain that shows you another eight miles of straight road ahead, with no trees in sight for miles. Hours of this driving would be a relief if you could let george take over for awhile.
 
I drove for a living when I ran my own trucking company, if I can do that I'm no one special, I don't feel for the poor car driver on long lonely stretches of road, the initial argument was to keep certain non drivers from causing more trouble than they already do, I'd just assume keep them off the road completely. Education shouldn't be replaced for someone else wiping your...and as far a long boring roads, whaa🚼
 
Wow, dude, can you be any more offensive? Just trying to add another view of life from out on this side of the Mississippi. No harm intended and definitely no need for all of your bravado. I would say have a nice day, but I would be afraid you would somehow think I was telling you what to do. So I'll just say WTF

When and if Autonomous vehicles become a reality, they will probably be mandated like seatbelts or airbags. They are still a long way off though

First off, after re reading the entire thread, let me apologize to all my fellow Jeepers, I get too over passionate about nanny controls and government involvement in such matters, and when I responded to others opinions, I did attack but not intentionally towards the posters, you guys and everyone else are allowed your own ideas regardless of my views and when I read them, I immediately think of the big brother who invents and enforces them, so I don't exactly type exactly what I want to say right, again, WHATROAD, Belizean, my apologies, sincerely they weren't personal attacks. This is why I don't get too involved in social media, without being face to face discussing with someone, there's no facial cues, body language, thinking before speaking, etc. I'm going out to the wood shed and cut a Willow stick await my whoopin...😔
