Hey everyone...I'm new to the post and am enjoying reading all the threads. I am looking for 3 specific things and hope you all can help, and also hope to meet some CJ's here in Charleston.
So, here it goes. I have a 73 CJ5 and want to go back to the original look.
I want the steel wheels that will accept the OEM hubcaps (I think they are the white plain steel wheels like on this old dealer video (GREAT VIDEO, PLEASE SEE THE BLUE JEEP..THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I AM GOING FOR)
1973 AMC Jeep CJ5 Dealer Commercial - YouTube
I know..I know..you're welcome...it's a great video isn't it.
That's what I am looking for. PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR SOURCES for:
1.) white steel wheels. Doesn't have to be originals, but need to be the same sizes and accept a hubcap
2.) Factory hubcaps from 73
**quick question...is there a hole in the factory hubcap to lock the hubs?? doesn't look like it,, but please fill me in
3.) The whitewall stripe All terrain tire
I'll be forever in debt to you guys for your help.
***Also, I just bought this Jeep from a friend who had a baby and he JUST put brand new big tires and rims on this. If someone is local and wants to buy them I will send a pic of them. They are AT's but more of a street look to them, and the rims are an alloy rim with about 6-8 circle holes in them.
Looking for the responses. You can call me or email directly as well. jcrosby(at)newcongroup(dot)com.
