Autometer Gauges
I should have listened to the folks on this forum that warned about buying the reproduction CJ Speedo assembly. Unfortunatly, mine lasted about 2500 miles before the odomoeter decided to CTB. I ended up buying one of the Autometer Procomp GPS speedos. This thing is fantastic. Very small antenna (Magnet, mounted mine to the left hood hinge since my jeep is fiberglass) that picks up a GPS signal and gives you a consistently accurate MPH, Trip Meter, Odometer, Speed, Longitude, Latitude, Clock and Compass. I used the Procomp (Autometer)model since my other gauges are procomp. Fabbed a piece of aluminum diamond plate to hold the new speedo. Bought an oversized Bezel to angle the gauge so I can see it. I then bought three LED lights-2 green for left/right signal indicators, and, one blue (middle light) for the high beam. Fabbed a flat piece of 1 inch plate and mounted it with the lights right above the speedo. Works GREAT!
