i am having problems removing the passenger side hub on my 78 Dana 30 axle. The driver side pulled off with little effort. The passenger side broke free from the caliper about a 1/2" and won't move any further. Any ideas or suggestions of what could be holding it up? I tried a gear puller and that didn't work either. Ive attached a link of the part im talking about.

 Is the the snap ring still on the end of the stub shaft?

Of course the axle shaft and bearings have to be removed. It sounds like you did that much. But then I say remove the calliper. At that point you can remove the whole rotor along with the hub. Here's what you'll have:

At that point you can separate the hub from the rotor. I think they are just held together by the wheel studs. Press the studs out.

Did the otherside hub come off without the rotor attatched.
As dave said the hub and rotor are held together with the wheel studs and come off as one unit

The hub and rotor came off on the other side together and then i broke them apart. The side that is stuck I was able to seperate the two pieces a 1/2" while still in place on the axle. During the process of wrenching and beating, all 5 studs came loose. I really just dont know what is holding it up. the other side was easy.

If you have the bearing nuts (both of them), snap ring and caliper off, there is nothing left to hold it on. Maybe a trashed wheel bearing that spun on the spindle? A wheel puller and persuasion from a BFH.

Obviously since you got the otherwise off, you know what needs to be removed.

I may have misunderstood the problem.

You removed both rotors. You have them both sitting on the bench like this:

Then after they were removed you easily separated one rotor from the hub but you couldn't separate the 2nd. Is that right?

A machine shop should be able to press the studs out and separate them.

Worst case RockAuto.com sells the rotors for $50

Sorry if i mislead everyone. I did remove the hub and rotor from the axle. I have the hub and rotor on the bench like BusaDave said. I just cant seperate the two. I was hoping to save the hub and scrap the rotor. I still can't get it off. I have the hub all banged up from beating on it to the point where i think i have to replace it anyway. Thanks for everyones help.
