I have a 80 CJ5 and swapped to a ax15 tranny and I need to adjust the angle of my rear driveshaft with a shim. Anyone already do this and know a good place to get them? I would like to get the mounting pin for aligning them with it but don't see many good places that I could get that. Any information on how you did it?

How much do you need to move that axle?
rewelding the mounts may be a good idea.

Roughly 8 degrees. Thats something to think about. Does anyone know what bottom plates I need for the U bolts? It there a kit with the u bolts and the bottom plate together? I need the bottom plate that has a peg for the shock to mount on.

8 degrees? Best bet would to re-weld the spring mounts. Shims can move even when pinned.

Not that hard to do.

The axle tube diameter will determine the spring plate dimensions. Lots of good companies out there selling skid style. Not that tuff to make if you have a torch, welder and drill press.
