I have a f250 d60 rearend that needs new every thing and a r60 front end currently under a friend yj. I would like to do a soa swap. If I use the r60 I will need to do a Dana 300 flop or should I sell my r60 to friend and get a gm d60, then I wouldnt have to do a flop. I would like to rotate the Dana 300 flat eather way. I have a tbi350, m465 adapted to Dana 300 that I have been running for years and am tired of breaking my Dana 30 frontend. Any advice or opions please.

Hob big are the housings on either of those front diffs?

I ask because obviously doing the SOA will leave that housing in harms way unless you have some pretty large tires....

I don't know much about either of those diffs though... have you been breaking different things in the Dana 30 front? or always the same parts?

:chug:

really your choice, but I would do the gm and keep it pass. side drop, no real reason though.
What is a r60? I never heard that one before.

My Plan is to run 40" tires and streatch the wheelbase a little with longer springs and relocating spring mounts.

I break a axle joint about every 3rd trip. I always carry spare and have on board air so I can change it pretty quick. I also run 35" tires so that is taking it to its limet.

This the rear FF or SF?

The rear is sf one piece axles
