i wnt to lift my 56 Dj3a(its not the 2x4 model) but i dont know what kid of lift to put on. theres a 430.00 2.5 and a 508.00 4in but i just dont know which would be better for 31s under there? any suggestions?

I've ran 31s on my stock Jeeps but they are a lot newer, I would think you could get away with a 2.5 lift. What size tire are you running now?

probably a 28? 16.00 15... but i know 31s will rub the back... i was thinkin 2.5

I've got 2.5" springs on my otherwise stock '45 GPW and fit a set of 35s on it. Only problem with the 35s is inner tire rub on the front springs at full lock. Expect 2.5" springs will do great with 31s.

For the record, I wouldn't suggest 15/35-15 TSLs on a stock GPW but I had them lying around and it was easier to throw them on the '45 then to store them somewhere in my garage or trailer. Besides, the set of old 36" Buckshot Mudders off my Dodge RC wouldn't fit (not enough clearance between the drivers rear tire and the fuel tank well under the seat). Buckshots are now on the CJ5 .
