Ok, I'm not very familiar with this type of information. I'm the owner of an 85' CJ7 Renegade and I'm looking to lift it however there are so many brands I'm not sure which one to buy. I will use the jeep a few times a week plus the occasional drive on sand dunes. Also, if I lift the jeep, do I have to do any other conversions, such as power steering? Any help please, I'm new to this.

Well, first thing is, you cant lift with shocks, you will need lift springs to do it correctly. The amount of lift is up to you, but with 2.5" of spring lift, you will need the least amount of further modifications to your jeep. All I would recommend is using a quality soft ride spring. Power steering is a relatively inexpensive upgrade, and pretty easy to do as well. Also, take a minute and hop back into your information, to fill out all you can about your jeep. It helps us give you timely and more correct help when we know a bit more about your ride.
