ok always had hard to on CJ7 . bought a used top for 50 bucks and looked complete only problem is that the rear channel i have does not work. Think i am missing a part for tailgate but for the life of me cant find any info on it this should be a easy thread for any CJ7 bestop owner here is a pic.
Yes but not positive what top I have. Found a top similar but cost 65 dollars and don't want to buy unless I know for sure it's the part wish somebody can give me a part number to verify ?
Theres a rail for it. I had one with mine. Look on your belt rails for the corners on the tub. There will be a spot on each one where the rail will slide in. The rail has a round channel that slides into the rear window as well to hold it secure.
That's a Yj top, at least the back window is, and reguires a YJ rail.
Looks like you have a "duster" CJ rail.
FYI different brands will require different corners also. the YJ window slightly overlaps the rear tub, too. The side rails will be OK.
A YJ rail catches at the tabs that hang lower on the window, it has some pretty big tabs for this. a bar goes from corner piece to corner piece. The middle part is a big rubber seal.
No. the YJ bar fits a CJ tailgate fine. You need the YJ corners though. Can't tell from the pic which corners are on it. A "duster" corner wont work correctly with a YJ soft top bar. YJ corners have a bracket to accept the YJ window bar.
