I bought a used trailmax pro console. It unfortunately was missing the ice box and the med kit that are supposed to come with it and it was a little more than I wanted to/should have spent on a console. But BOY HOWDY! I cannot believe that bestop stopped making these in lieu of the garbage after market consoles they have now. This is all molded plastic, similar to our stock ones except that the arm rest is actually usable for something.
I think we can all agree that the top of the factory console is pretty much useless for anything since you cant set on it or in the cup holders if you want to lift the lid. The cup is behind the drivers elbow and the top is way to low for you to rest your elbow on it.
Some things I was not expecting, the console came with a slide out pen holder/writing pad, it was also wired for a cigarette lighter and an illumination light.... So more wiring I have to add to my floor harness.
I am still not a fan of the cavernous hole that is the inside though but I used half of the space to house an 120v inverter a speaker amp, my heated seat switches and a set of outlets attached to my inverter. I had to cut out slots for the outlets and the heated seat switches, then I painted the whole thing with SEM camel to match the honey interior of my jeep.
Overall even tho I almost paid what they went for new, I am fairly satisfied about the purchase. I really wish bestop would bring these back.
