Hello all, new to this forum, longtime fan of Jeeps, Dodges, and military versions of both. Retired from nearly 30 years as an auto tech, mostly in the suspension, steering and alignment field. And this is my question, my frame and front axle are '49 CJ3a . I'm going to be using a '91 S10 Blazer as a parts donor for the powertrain, wiring, etc. Has anyone used the steering system from one of these on an early CJ? I have read about the saginaw conversions, but most recomment the heavier truck version. Haven't got the parts car, frame, welder and torch all in the same place at the same time yet. Any advice would be much appreciated.
