I am new to jeeps and am looking to put 35's under my CJ7 I am going to put a 4 inch suspension lift under it in the next 2 weeks. but I want to get some feedback on body lifts. good, bad, what brand to buy, what to avoid, and what to look for in a kit.

Go with poly bushings.. I would t go any higher then 1". They are crowned upon by some.. I don't mind a 1" but any thing bigger looks silly. My black Cj fit 35's with only 4"'springs.. It wouldn't stuff a tire but never rubbed

I have an 81 with 4" of suspension lift and a 1" body lift with 35's. It works real good.

I have a 4 in lift along with some aftermarket shackles and run 35s. Ive heard good things about Superlift. Look for a complete kit. One that comes with brake lines , wedges for your pinion angle and with a 4 in lift probably a drop pitman arm.

A 1 in body lift is fine. Going higher than that puts added stress on the longer bolts. Keep in mind your Cj will not handle like a sports car. I was used to a 2 in lift with 33s and can feel the difference in the extra hieght.

A 1" body lift is enough but if you want a little more ground clearance, the 2" lift is the ideal. And to me, getting a 3" BL is too much and can cause some issues like stress on body mounts and steering shaft. Get a complete kit and if your CJ7 is a 2wd, you can rely on Performance Accessories - Performance Accessories Jeep Body Lift Kits

The Old Man Emu suspension seems to get to get good reviews. I have had to do fender trimming, 1" body lift, 1" shackles, rear bump stop extensions, and a cv joint. Those poly body lift kits sound like a good way to go since I have crushed the two channels in front of the rear tires at the body lift location using hard plastic pucks.

I have a 2 inch body lift with a 2 1/2 suspension lift and run 35's. No issues.
