Body mount question

Im in the process of installing my 1" daystar poly body lift while doing some restoring to the underside of the cj. My frame and mounts are in great shape but just the small circle where the old mounts rested are rusted thin. Im going to weld plates to reinforce everything. What size holes do I need to drill for the poly mounts? Thanks!

Are you aware that there are more than likely nuts attached (not to be confused with welded) to the inside of the body mounts that the mount bolts thread into??
I would make the hole about the same size it is now.

I mean the holes that are on the frame brackets. I already have everything disassembled. I know they are a little bigger than the factory body bushings because when you torque them down they spread out. they are a little big for the poly's also so I didnt know if decreasing the hole size would make everything fit more snugly or not

If your welding on new plates on the mounts in the middle of the frame, drill in place slightly over size.

76 and newer had a steel bushing with quite a large hole. Like 1-1/8" or so.
