Hi all,

I was planning on putting my tub back on the frame and have some body mount questions I was hoping to get clarity on:

I can’t find my pictures of how the tub is actually bolted to the mounts; from the pictures I’ve found online it looks like each bolt goes north through the center of the mount and is fastened to the tub’s threads. The problem is that where my mounts line up I don’t see any threads at all, and I don’t see a way for a bolt to go through the tub and center of the mount so I can use a nut on the threaded end (in this case the bolts threads are facing south, the other way they’d be north).

Am I missing something, or does this mean I have bigger problems of missing threads? If this is the case how do you recommend I proceed?
On one side it looks like the PO cut a hole so he could drop a bolt down onto a mount but it’s not consistent on the other side ( I do remember there being a bolt or two missing when I purchased so maybe he just never got around to doing the other side).

Any help, pics, and/or recommendations are greatly appreciated. I'll post pictures tonight for clarity.

Thanks!

If it's still in it's stock condition, the nuts are captured in the body and have some play as to their location. The nut could be just rusted fast. Stick a bolt into the thread a few turns, then tap the shaft with a hammer and it should break lose. The nuts are loose to allow adjustment for fitment of all the mounts before any are tightened. Pictures would help.

Think these guys have it covered. I just pulled the bolts last night and the tub is still sitting on the frame. If you need pics or anything let me know.

Thanks a bunch for that PDF and the info, much clearer now. Sorry about not posting the pics it snowed here yesterday and put a wrench in my garage time. Will post as soon as I can though!
