I recently repainted and removed the body mounted tire mount on my 1982 CJ7 . So now I have several bolt holes I need to cover. Anyone know if there any rubber type of plugs I could pop I to the holes? I don't want to put in bolts backed with nuts to do it.

How big are the holes? They make generic body holes in all sizes. Back a long time ago when I worked at a garage we used to buy them in bulk from NAPA to fill the holes we would drill in cars to shoot undercoating in and under them.

Just the factory sized holes where the tire carrier mounted onto the body

That's EXACTLY what I was looking for! Many thanks!

the diy isle at most auto parts stores will have an assortment of rubber grommets. I use them for floor drain plugs but they have smaller and larger sized plugs as well
