Well, I was hoping I could save the body on my 84 Cj. But every time I go out there and look her over I see more rust issues. I knew a few body mounts needed replaced and most of the floors but it just looks like that whole area is in bad shape and I'm no welder. I was going to try my hand @ it but don't think I could rebuild the whole thing.
What is involved with swapping a body? I'm talking any jeep body. Cj, Yj, or whatever else would fit. I really don't like the idea of swapping over a Yj body though. I mean, aluminum worries me about ground issues.
I was planning on doing a panel @ a time if I repaired what I have. So I can keep it on the road and fix it over the week for weekend runs. Can the floors be replaced while still on the frame? Do the body mounts come attach to the floors or are they extra?
Getting a bit overwhelmed...
