Just picked one up, and going to try to install it this weekend. Do I need to remove the steering box to get the old one out, or can I just cut out the upper u-joint (which is about to break anyway) and then remove the old shaft ? Once the old one is out, the Borgeson shaft will compress enough to slide the ends onto the splines ? Which end should I slide on first , steering box or column ? Thanks in advance . :chug:

If you are cutting the upper u-joint, you don't have to remove anything to put it in. As you said the slip fit should allow you to slide it into position.

How did you end up with this? I just ordered mine and trying to find "how too's" on the subject

When I received mine I just worked it in.

cool...sounds like an easy job.....lol which will be nice cause I'm looking at a "major" job when I do the clutch/seals/gaskets routine lol
