- '79 CJ5, 258 I6, T150 w/Dana20, Dana30 front and AMC20 rear. My first Jeep! I'm looking forward to doing some minor upgrades and restoration while enjoying the ride.
Got a brake problem:
While braking and while stationary, my brake pedal will sometimes drop about an inch, and sometimes it will do it a couple times like while I'm at a light. Letting up on the pedal brings it back to the top of the push, and it may do it again or it may not, very intermittent.
'79 CJ5 with Manual disc/drum. The brakes work well and they have not gone to the floor. The weather is mid 70's so I don't think it's "brake fade", but that's just a guess.
Rebuild / Replace master cylinder?? Check / Replace rear brake parts?? Both of these I'm hoping to get done while on vacation next week but I would love to hear any thoughts or suggestions and especially if it's happened to others.
Thanks
