Have a 72 CJ5 with busted bell house and top cap on t15a Transmission , want to keep AMC 304 engine but looking for another later model Transmission /transfer combo with Hyd clutch so I don't keep breaking in those tight and twisting situations . Does anyone have any suggestions ??

Any YJ bell housing should bolt up to your AMC 304 so I would think a swap could be made from those parts. The early ones had an internal slave cylinder so you have to pull the tranny/x-case to get at it but later on the slave was on the exterior. I don’t remember off hand when the change was made but in 1995 the hydraulic system was sealed so there was no hose to bleed and little to no adjustment available.

Man I sure thank ya for the info ... Already have a lot of yj combo's located . It was likeulling teeth trying to find original cj parts , not to mention a bit pricey!! Thanks again I may be up and trail riding before long.
