As I’m preparing to remove the motor I’m looking at things I’d like to clean up in the process in the engine bay. There’s a rubber line that comes off of the carb that goes to the charcoal canister. I’m going to be removing all the smog related components. Can I do anything with this hose? Can I put a plug on the carb?

It will run just fine without that hose. Mine didn't have that hose either, you will get a pretty potent gas smell from under the hood though.

Afaik you can. It's not needed for the engine to run properly. Mine was capped until I put my new charcoal canister on.

This right here.

Mine doesn't have all the smog stuff on it either, but the rig reeks of gas, so I'm in the middle of revamping my fuel system. I'm putting the charcoal canister back in that the PO deleted.

If you still want to remove it, I can take it off your hands if you'd like...shoot me a PM.

I like breathing fresh air...not fuel vapor.

Yeah I’m not too found of smelling gas. I’m definitely gonna keep it there. Thanks for the tip!
