All of drive train I assume is stock.
So maybe the joke is on me? I went to change the spark plugs today on a AMC 304 and when I went to put the socket on the plug, I kept bumping up against the header. I looked to see if I could reach it with a wrench, but the pipes are in the way. Am I just being stupid? I'd like to think I wouldn't have to take the headers off just to change plugs.. In fact I'd hate to because the header bolts are soooo rusty...:dunno:

I've never seen where you actually have to pull the header, but sometimes you have to be sneaky getting the socket on there.

Unless they are someones homemade creation I can't see that being the case.

Are you using a spark plug socket? Those tend to make it more difficult to get on the plug in tight spots.

I have had some vehicles with headers that require getting underneath with a box or open end wrench to get at a spark plug.

Yeah, I was trying to use a spark plug socket... the header pipes I don't think are going to give me the room or leverage to open end it... I'll have to dig through my tool box to see if I have a wobbley bit..

thanks!
