Hi all,
Just a quick question. What was the color of the bracket that holds the cc in place? Never had one when I bought the cj this fall, but need to add one to add in fuel vapor smell. Also can anyone post a pic of the location. Heard it was under the master cylinder. Thanks in advance Rick

My 78's was same color as body and down low below M cyl.
If you don't get a more appropriate year photo I will get one of mine when I can.

Thanks both of you!!! Dslywalker, the second pic is the same as mine (4 port canister) Got a Weber on the jeep and will use the additional vac. port, but where did you find the bowl vent? Looked at their website and my carb. but dont see it. How about another pic? Thanks:notworthy:

That was a pic i pulled out of a forum for reference so couldn't tell where the bowl vent for the Weber went on the carb.I think the Carter BBD carb had a bowl vent that went there originally.Your Weber might not have a vent.I know the Weber on my Buggy doesn't have one.If yours doesn't have a bowl vent I think you just cap that port off on the cannister.Maybe someone else here might know and jump in.Here's interesting link for a Motorcraft carb.I think the cannister part of this pertains to your rig.Its kinda long
