CJ-5 Wiper Linkage Binding

Has anyone else experienced a binding in the wipers?
This is a new build 76 CJ5 , all mechanism linkage, motor, etc is all new OEM.
When re-building I had noticed the drivers side windshield frame was actually bent where the wiper blade mount goes through the frame and retained by the mounting nut. This is then capped off with the wiper blade. I have disassembled this system several times, checked out all linkages and pivots, re-straightening of the windshield frame remounting all components, cycle properly, I think I have it fixed, and it once again binds after running a few minutes, rebends the sheet metal of the windshield frame and again binds.
Im afraid that the frame is getting fatigued and I have seen indications since I started restoring this jeep of similar issues from the previous owner.
I wish I had a cutout of an old winndshield frame allowing me to double the metal and resisting the arm slightly distorting and allowing the linkage to bind and stall.
Does anybody make a support plate to prevent this?
Has anyone else had a similar issue and how did you finally correct it?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
