CJ-7 Factory Option Firewall Tag

I have a 1984 CJ7 with the following on the fire wall vin/option tag. I would like to know the original trim package and color

Jeep Corp
Toledo OH USA
J325488 87
26 4M 1E8
1JCCF87A3ET136782

I understand that the Jxxx is the order number.
The 87 is a vehicle deviation or special order number
The 26 is the paint gun number
The 4M is the paint option
The 1E8 is the trim option number
The last is the VIN number.

I need help understanding what these codes are telling me. Any help would be appreciated.

id bet it is 1EB then and not 1E8

You are probably right it is a B and not an 8.

What I really want to know was the color and if it is a Laredo or a Renegade or what. I am restoring it and I want to make sure it has the correct info on it.

Wasn't a Laredo . The Laredo would have had Italian purse

OP's first post says the paint code is 4M which I don't see on that list.
