Can anyone tell me if a rear cj spring is the same length as a rear YJ spring? Thanks for your help

Pretty sure they are real close because they can be interchanged if that's what your getting at. I have 2 pair of OMEmu YJ springs setting at home to go on all 4 corners of my Jeep. It a very common swap. The front ones do differ by an inch supposedly, but they still work (besides being wider).

Yes that is what im getting at. That being said since they are so close in length when I swap them out is it nessasary to move the fram hangers?

The YJ springs bolt right up on the rear, but a new hanger most be moved 1" forward on the front. CJ's used the same 2 1/2" wide spring in the rear, but use 2" wide in the front.YJ's use the same width and length springs front and rear. You can piece together all the parts or buy a complete kit. I chose to buy the kit that had everything I needed in one box.

Well moving the bolt forward is debatable. It depends on your situation. It seems that if you have stock shackles then you do but if you have longer shackles you don't. Also, in talking with Mike at OK4WD, who makes the rock granite conversion kit designed around OMEmu springs, he's never had to move one forward and has done many, but yet their directions online show it being done. So 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. I haven't put mine on yet but I don't expect I'll need to. My TDK frame doesn't have the rivet anyway.
