This is to anyone that has a CJ in Charlotte, NC or surrounding areas. I need some welding done i know a guy that can do if for cheap but i would rather help out a fellow Jeeper and pay them. Also im looking to go wheelin when this blue monster is ready. Im also rebuilding my jeep so if your in the area and wanna make some extra money feel free to stop by:D. PM me or just post on here.

I just wanted to drop by and let you know that I am in Charlotte, NC. I have a mig welder but I can't weld worth a lick. :D I just bought a 77 CJ7 that I am getting ready to restore soon. Just street driving and cruising in the sand at Carolina Beach for me. I have a good friend who is a retired bodyman that does paint and bodywork for me. He doesn't do much fab work, just normal paint and body. Let me know if you ever want to use him. I could introduce you.

Louie.

Nice to see another person from Charlotte! Thats awesome your about to do a restore. I actually just picked up a parted out jeep with K5 Blazer axles, spring over, new tub, hood, fenders, grill and other small parts. I plan on using the new tub on the CJ and right now its primered. So this guy that you know that paints might def come in handy. Once i get my CJ put back together (hopefully by this weekend) we can go ride some small trails.

Well, maybe one of these days we can hit the small trails. I've never really gone off roading in the mud or trails because first of all, I don't know where and also, I don't really want to get my Jeep dirty or break anything. This is my 3rd Jeep and they've all been street daily drivers.... Good luck on your CJ and let me know if you need my friend.

well guys i cant weld worth a lick either, im in eastern NC small town Lucama, NC I would love to get some type of Jamboree started where we could all meet and trade lies and wheel and do whatever. Maybe somone is halfway say like Raleigh that could put this together one day...would be awesome to have an all cj weekend.

Hi!

I'm new to this site and live just north of Charlotte, North Carolina. Glad to see some locals loving CJ's! I too stink at welding which is a bummer cause I need a bumper with oversize sparetire swing!

Keep Jeepin!

Can't weld at all, but I'm in Elkin (about an hour north of Charlotte).

Looks like there are a bunch of us in the area. Charlotte here too. Just got my second 78 CJ5 and can turn a wrench decently but cant weld. Im sure Id give it a try, but keep that fire extinguisher handy.

My Jeep is strickly street and trail now - but if there is ever anything going on in the area Im down.

I also live in NC, just north of Greensboro. Would love to help you out with the welding but probably not worth the drive. However ther is a great Site for NC specific 4WD related info. check out NC4X4.com, lot of events, tech, parts and general 4x4 chit chat.
