Never had one apart. Spray so PB blaster in there and let it soak, work it back and forth, clean out the Blaster with starting fluid, then grease the rails.

My parts washer worked pretty well. If you can get them into something to soaking helps. Then as said, clean out the solvent then dry and grease.
