CJ YJ bodies

Just how similar are CJ and YJ bodies? I know some parts are interchangeable but I've found fenders that are for YJs and was wondering if they would fit A CJ. I don't know for sure but would think that they would fit.

The fenders for a YJ will not fit a CJ unless you change the whole front end and then it will look like a wrongler.

Here's a link to the fenders I was referring to News/New Products! | Modern Classic Enterprises After looking at their site today it looks like they plan on making these for CJs so patience may be easier that modifying to fit!

I can get a steel set of flat fenders like that & they are as strong as rock-rails fabbed up for about $200 locally. I'll bet if you check you might find a similar deal and save $200 over buying and having those shipped to you.
