Does anyone have some pics they wouldn't mind posting or sending me of a stock front end for a 79 CJ5 ? I have all the manuals, but would like to see a few real pictures of the tie rod ends, steering stabilizer, etc... I just want to make sure I am reading all the diagrams correctly and have all my stuff back in its correct position. I think I may have to fabricate a bracket for one end of my steering stabilizer, just not sure as of yet. Thanks in advance.

If noone answers I'll grab one of my CJ7 when I get home. Same thing as the CJ5 , mines an 81 so itll be narrow track like yours

Thanks Pete, I really appreciate it.

Thanks again Pete, these are exactly what I was looking for. It seems that I am missing the bolt that is on or near the springs. I am debating whether or not to replace the dampner shock. I have been reading and some say it is worth it and some say that it is not. I will cross that bridge after I find all the parts and see what they are going to cost me. Again, many thanks.

Help me understand this. Is this the picture your talking about? Down at the bottom of the sway bar connect? It looks almost white in that part of the pic

Pete, if you follow the sping back to the end of the dampner shock, it looks like a shock mount bolt sticking up from the spings. Mine does not have any kind of mount at all on my springs. I circled it in the picture.

:)Hopefully Pete doesn't mind if I answer that for you..............just happen to have a picture also...............that is one end of the stock steering stabilizer mount shown in the picture...........gets added to the bottom of the spring pack and is clamped there by the spring U-bolts............Try E-Bay or a wrecking yard or make one!
