Hello all,

I've put a couple hundred miles on the CJ5 and I'm trying to figure something out and need your help. Whenever I shift gears, say 1-2 or 2-3, the backend of the Jeep tends to jerk to the right side. It rides pretty straight otherwise (but tends to wander a little on bumps). I'm not sure if this can be attributed to worn shackles, springs or diff locker.

Any suggestions on what to look for or replace are much appreciated.

hmm, have a similar feeling in my 7, curious to what people recommend..thought it was the lockers

A rear locker will indeed do that to some extent.

Mine does that but it self corrects for the most part too. You get used to it.

Mine did that and it improved dramatically when I replaced my shackles, bushings and springs. I still have a little bit of jerk which I contribute to my lockers but nothing that concerns me.

Any recommendations on lift springs? I replaced the bushings with poly and still have rough country 4" springs on there. Was looking at warrior shackles to replace what's on there.

I agree. I changed mine and it really helped.
