CJ6 Gas Tank nozzles.

I have just removed the 15 gall tank from my 74 CJ6 for repaint and other checks and find there are two small horizontal nozzles at the opposite top end from the inlet and vent connections. The nozzles are at the very top of the tank , have bent hose closing them off at present.. Can anyone advise what these are for? ..they are about 1in apart, 1 3/8th in long and 5/16th in dia . Also how should they be connected ?

Those lines are vent lines that run to a liquid check valve. One line is vapor and the other is liquid return from the valve. From valve there should be a vapor line running to the engine compartment, to the charcoal canister.
