CJ6 the slow slow build
warrpath4x4
Jeeper
picked this up like 2 years ago, traded a rifle for it (only rifle ive ever gotten rid of). test drove it and loaded it up on the trailer.
specs:
134 f head 4 cyl
T-90 Transmission
T-18 Transfer Case
dana 27 front
Dana 44 rear
replaced the carb with a solex carb, and had the starter sent in and rebuilt cost me about $100 i think, the next day i found out a toyota starter would have bolted on for less than half of that.
jeep has lots of rust, ive been through three different build plans already lol. there was the chevy 350/GM Turbo 400 /np205/44/14 plan, the 4.3 liter build, the 454 build.
so far my build plan when i get to it is going to be building a square tube chassis cause this one has been broke and re-welded in a couple different places. fix the body, cut out rust and weld in new metal. build a full cage out of real tubing instead of the "example of structural engineering" thats in it now. ideally id like to add a 4BT but i dont have the cash flow for that so ill probably just freshen up the drivetrain thats in it.
onto the pics, the prvious owner was hippy hense the smiley face on the grill.

ive heard that some of these measurments are off but when i do mine i will have the tub off so i can double check things.
onto the "example of structural engineering"
windshield frame doesnt look as bad as i thought it would
