CJ7 clutch pedal replacement ?

I have a 80 CJ7 ...and the clutch pedal is making all kinds of noise when I press it. I know its coming from the pedal. I've greased it up pretty good...and didn't help. So it must be coming from the bushing.

How big of a PIA is it to replace that $2.00 bushing?

Are you sure it's the bushing?

The balljoint connected to the pedal can squeak.

Did you pull the Pedal off the shaft to grease it?

The bushing will be shot if the pedal moves side to side a lot.

I haven't taken anything apart yet....I'm not sure how. I'm not even sure it's the bushing...it doesn't move side to side. I loaded the balljoint and springs with white lube and it took some of the sweak out. It sounds like a old screen door opening but 100 times as loud.

Is the rod rubbing the body where it goes through the floor ?

Update...check the rod going through the floor. It's not rubbing. So ..I just shot every moveable part with white lube....and I loaded it down. So far the noise is gone....for now anyways.
