Seems the topic of "what lift did you get from what springs" comes up from time to time so I thought I would post my results.

86 CJ7 - AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l /T-5 - BFG 31-10.5x15 AT

I installed BDS 2" wrangler springs all around (BDS004200) and M.O.R.E. shackles that are 4" eye to eye. Seems to have netted around 3" of lift over my worn stock springs. Measurements now to bottom of front frame horn is 22.25", to bottom of rear panel where bumper bolts on is 23".

3rd pic is before, last 2 pics are after.

Don't you have to change alot of stuff to get wrangler springs to fit? What is the benefit of going with a 2" wrangler spring lift vs a 2 " cj spring lift?

Might be just a typo here guys but if they're 2" springs they are for a Jeep not a Wrangler. Wrangler springs are 2 1/2" both front and rear. Jeeps use 2 1/2" in the rear but 2" in the front. Wrangler springs are also 1" longer than a Jeeps front springs.

Thank you for making your measurements you arecorrect that the question does come up alot :chug:

stock YJ springs on my jeep, and a YJ tub swap the rear spring hanger for the front springs is wide enough for the wrangler springs to fit in, the front hanger will need to be replaced and the shackle or bolts will need to be replaced, also your spring u bolt plates need to be swapped because of the wider spring, the wrangler front springs are a little longer. the rears are similar to stock cj springs

To clarify, they are Wrangler 2.5" wide springs that are advertised to give 2" of lift. I am still waiting on my new front hangers, so right now the front shackle is bolted to the old 2" wide hanger.

The supposed advantage of using wrangler springs is to achieve a little softer ride for a given amout of lift. Whether or not that is the case remains to be seen. (by me anyway)

Gert is correct, you have to change out the front hanger( can use a stock cj rear hanger in the front for this) and the front spring plate to one with a wider ubolt spacing.
