Here's my new to me 81 CJ8

Completely stock and mostly original with a bit of character added by way of some digs and dents. Plans are 2.5 lift, T18a Transmission , twin stick 300, locked ford 9" and locked 30 up front along with Warn XD9000 with some 33's for now

CJ8 's are cool. Longer wheelbase, more storage.
Sounds like you have some nice plans for it too. Keep us posted.
That's quite a grill guard. Should offer good protection but not enough for the PO to dent the front fenders. Maybe the guard was an afterthought.

He told me it was from the factory, but I don't really buy that. It will be leaving the Jeep shortly anyways I have a nice stubby bumper a friend back in MN built for my 7 that will be going on it.
