Cj9?

The CJ9 must have been like the CJ4 , They made a prototype and decided not to produce it so the project got scrapped and they went up one more number to make the CJ-10 tug.

Couldve been. You would think there would be some smidgen of info out there about it though. :wtf:

Since the numbering system for CJ's follows new model roll out dates , wouldn't that technically make the Scrambler a 9 since the CJ for sale is a 78? Food for thought ;)

:chug:

It is strange that there is historical evidence of a CJ4 but not a CJ9...

BTW: The CJ10 is a CJ8 -ish pick-up CJ built primarily for the export market. The CJ10A is the tug and is a modified CJ10.

actually, there were quite a few CJ4s built
we now have 4 surviving cj4s in the USA
the CJ4 was a test platform for the army that ended up with the rlease of the M38 A1, which is the same as the CJ5
As Far as the CJ9, I have never seen any photographic evidence of one. I have seen a lot of photos and a lot of engineering documents about cj 4s.

If there was a 10 why not a 9??:D

I do kind of think the last place to find a rare prototype would be in a corn field in Indiana, or was that Iowa?
