ok so everything was working fine and all of a sudden the clutch wont engage. i can shift into all the gears without the clutch petal. jeep wont go. what coud be wrong?

ok, say you push the clutch pedal in and it disengages, change the gear, and it engages when you let off the clutch pedal.
my clutch wont engage. i can still select gears but no matter what its like a constant neutral

the clutch pedal feels normal and everything looked fine from the pedal to the fork that goes into the tranny

i think its the normal 5 speed for a cj. and i never touched the t box but ill go check that right now.

yea my t-box is screwed up i think. i was screwing with it and got it to work for a bit.
so now i got a smoky motor, tranny grinds in 3,4,5 and gets worse the higher gear you go, and now my tbox needs to be checked out. looks like i own a broke jeep and a empty wallet
time to start saving my pennies

haha yea thats a bit far. and i hate having to get a shop around here to do anything cause the economy is so bad everybody is trying to rip people off and alot of shops now a days are being caught replacing good parts with bad parts trying to get you back in the shop and all sorts of crooked things like that

I own a small three man shop, and stay plenty busy because of customers having bad experiences at other shops. I don't advertise, if you treat someone fairly, they will tell 10 people about your service, if you rape them they will tell 100.

yea its getting real hard to find shops like yours. im tired of having to change mechanics ya know. its getting to the point where i just really want to go to like UTI or some automotive school after my 4 year college just so i can do all the work on my own jeeps for the rest of my life. i think it would be fun.
