Color for my top

Looking to paint my top the original black. Is it flat, semi-gloss, or gloss? Can't seem to find any info on it.

It's more of a personal choice. I'd go gloss or simi-gloss so it will wash easier then flat.

IIRC there were only a handful of factory CJ7 hardtop colors, black, there were a couple different colors of brown depending on the year, white and blue. So, it's really up to you, if you want a factory look, go with one of those, if you want a custom look, paint it the same as your body color, it's up to you

Thanks guys. I just painted the body original dark red, but the top was black. No paint supply stores or the dealer can tell me how it came from the factory,so I'm thinking gloss is the way to go. Maybe semi, but I don't think flat is the way it came.
