(poor thing needs a little bit of time and a few kind words)
The assumption made yesterday about engine gunk being a concern was correct. Brand new valve cover gasket leaks like a sib when driven. Especially when driven 9 miles one way to visit family in town for Thanksgiving! I didnt check the dipstick for confirmation, but by looking at the oil in my Mom's driveway and what is now in the pan under the engine in my driveway, I am pretty sure its at least a quart down.
Just read on someone else's forum post about a $20K investment being worth $8K when completed if the money is wisely invested in a Jeep; totally worth it!
I think the next step is to remove the major components and start fixing and making it right. I am slightly nervous about the endeavor, but it keeps me from supporting trashy reality TV.
Just have to make time for Family, Church, and Duck Dynasty. Those guys have my intentions and desires at heart. All of them!
